WHO IS TOUR DESIGN?

Tour Design (Corporation 1535218 Ontario Inc.) is a fully licensed tour operator owned and operated by Mrs. Frances Bulley, Business Identification Number 121061238, Travel Industry Council of Ontario (TICO) registration 5001108. It is important that you work with a tour operator who is registered with TICO as this means that all monies you send us are fully insured. We have had experience with assisting groups to attend World Youth Day in Paris in 1997, Rome in 2000 and Toronto in 2002. Tour Design is not an official body for World Youth Day. We are a privately owned tour company available to assist those who wish to travel to Cologne with arrangements that include paid accommodation during this event.

DATES FOR WORLD YOUTH DAY COLOGNE 2005

We have been advised that the dates for World Youth Day are Tuesday, August 16^th to Sunday, August 21^st, 2005. Day in the Diocese is August 11 to 15, 2005. As Tour Design is not an official church organization, we do not receive regular updates from the National Office for WYD. We ask that you help keep us posted with information that might assist us with your travel plans as it becomes available to your diocese or parish.

CHOICES OF ACCOMMODATION IN COLOGNE

We are offering four levels of accommodation for World Youth Day in Cologne 2005.

LENGTH OF STAY IN COLOGNE

In order to obtain accommodation during this time period, we have had to guaranteed all properties a minimum of seven nights stay. Your group may stay longer if they wish but you may not alter this minimum length of stay.

CHOICE OF PACKAGES AVAILABLE:

In order to qualify as a group, all group participants must check in and check out at the same time. We strongly recommend that to save money, you work towards a minimum group size of 40 passengers. Pricing is available for smaller groups. If you wish we can assist you in finding other small groups that might like to join your program. Five packages are available:

	Section A: Ground only packages
	Section B: Ground packages plus airfare
	Section C: Cologne & Rome Pilgrimage Tour
	Section D: German Pilgrimage Tour
	Section E: Rome & Cologne Pilgrimage Tour

PACKAGE TOUR INSURANCE

It has always been a requirement of World Youth Day that you have insurance to travel. We have quoted special rates for youth with RBC Insurance to cover Cancellation charges, Unlimited Hospital Medical, Air Flight Accident and Baggage Insurance. You must have a medical reason for canceling your program to claim on this insurance

DOCUMENTATION

You require a valid passport to travel to Germany. Lack of proper documentation is not a valid reason to claim on Cancellation insurance. If you are not a Canadian citizen, please advise when booking as you may require other documentation to travel to Germany.

DEVIATIONS

There are no deviations permitted for World Youth Day groups. If you have pilgrims who want to tour in addition to the package purchased, i.e., arrive earlier or leave later than the group in Cologne, those individuals are free to buy the ground only package and must contact Monita or Delores at 1.888.292.9929 at First Travel American Express in Markham, Ontario for separate quotation for airfare and additional travel arrangements. You must have a valid credit card to book all optional tour arrangements.

AIR ARRANGEMENTS

Tour Design works exclusively with regular scheduled airlines. This protects all of our group arrangements against changes in schedules and also allows for protection of seats. We are working with Air France, Alitalia, Air Canada and British Airways.

When you are looking at the various packages, take into consideration that if your group is to originate in Canada from a city outside of Toronto or Vancouver, we recommend that you restrict your selection to programs that travel with Air Canada or British Airways so that we can access add-on fares from your city at a lower cost.

In order to gain the necessary allotment of space and required pricing, there are no deviations allowed by any of the airlines. Once again, if you wish to travel on dates other than those specified, you must contact Sandra Gallaugher for independent air quotation.

PAYMENT AND FORMS OF PAYMENT

All cheques must be made out to “Tour Design” to comply with rules and regulations of TICO. It is preferable that you maintain payment as a group rather than send individual cheques. We do accept payment by VISA or MasterCard. Payment schedules will be clearly set down in your contract so please comply with these dates.

To confirm space you must send $100.00 Canadian dollars per person to Tour Design. We understand that it is difficult to estimate the final number that may travel in 2005. Monies sent for this original deposit are totally refundable as long as your group travels with Tour Design.

Tour Design will take care of you before you travel and also have staff on site in Cologne to ensure that your programs operate worry-free and to offer your coordinators and pilgrims daily assistance during World Youth Day.
