Basic Program Toulouse–Madrid
DAY 1: Toulouse - Lourdes Arrival in Toulouse and transfer via private coach to Lourdes. Enjoy the remainder of the day at leisure to explore the town of Lourdes on your own. After dinner, attend the evening Candlelight Procession (B, D): LOURDES
DAY 2: Lourdes This morning, attend the International Mass at the Grotto: the cave of the Apparitions of 1858. Today, visit the Basilica of St. Pius X, the world's largest underground church, and the Boly Mill where St. Bernadette was born in 1844. The tour continues to the "Cachot" (Jail) where St. Bernadette lived at the time of the Apparitions, and on to visit the Grotto of Massabiele, where the Blessed Virgin Mary appeared to St. Bernadette. After dinner, attend the evening Candlelight Procession, starting from the Grotto. (B, D): LOURDES
DAY 3: Lourdes – Burgos Morning have mass at private chapel before transfer to Burgos. Next, transfer to Burgos via a stop in San Sebastian for lunch on own. (B, D): BURGOS
DAY 4: Burgos After morning Mass, enjoy a tour of the 13th century Burgos Cathedral, undoubtedly the city's most prized historical landmark. Long standing as one of the most beautiful and largest Gothic basilicas in Europe, the cathedral is the only structure of its kind to be designated a stand-alone UNESCO World Heritage Site. Afternoon is at your leisure. (B, D): BURGOS
DAY 5: Burgos – Madrid After morning mass, transfer to Madrid. Balance of the day at leisure. (B)
