Multi-day Tours
Over 416,000 visitors attended Bauma 2004. Don't be disappointed by waiting too long to plan for Bauma 2007. With a population of nearly 1.5 million people and a large number of museums, art collections, music and theatre events, the Bavarian capital of Munich is a cultural metropolis of international rank. Landmarks of the city include the central Marienplatz, the Old Town Hall, Glockenspiel, Alter Peter, Nymphenburg Palace, the Olympic Stadium and, of course, the Bavarian Motor Works or BMW. One of the
most appealing aspects of Munich is the splendid countryside right on the
city's doorstep: the Bavarian Lake Region amidst the stunning Bavarian
Alps; Neuschwantsein and Linderhof, two of King Ludwig's 11 castles;
Oberammergau, home to the Passion Play Garmish at the foot of Germany's
highest mountain, Mittenwald, enjoying the most spectacular location of
any town in the Alps; Berchtesgaden, home to Hitler's headquarters known
as the Eagle's Nest; and Salzbergerwerk, home to the salt mine, just to
mention a few. Day
